Bonnie's sewing started with watching her mother sewing at an old straight stitch
Singer sewing machine. She took a semester of sewing in high school economics, but otherwise is self-taught.
She quickly discovered a love of creating costumes and historical clothing. About
1995 she began making clothing and costumes to sale to others.
Since then, Bonnie
has spent countless hours researching historical sewing techniques, patterns, and resources.
Although
she has sewn from many different time periods, Bonnie confesses she is still enamored with clothing from the Renaissance and
Victorian eras.
