This gown is fitted very tightly at the waist, this being
controlled by the lacing in the back. The three-quarter length sleeves end in long tippets, which are lined in a decorative
fabric. The gown can feature a long train or can be shortened to a walking length.
Although traditionally worn without skirt supports, the photos below show the dramatic
effect created when this gown is worn over a bridal, A-line petticoat.
