Another piece of the Tudor
Nobleman's Wardrobe, our Skirted Doublet has the chest portion cut-away to show the Nobleman's Doublet worn underneath. The flare of the skirting is maintained by the paned slops.
During the Tudor period,
large sleeves were popular to accent the appearance of broad shoulders. The sleeves are stuffed to maintain shape.
The sleeve band is roomy enough to allow you to wear your doublet sleeves under these.
The body & sleeves are
completely lined. The Skirted Doublet closes with cloak clasp at the waist. You may choose to omit the sleeves if
you prefer to wear this item under a Great Coat.
Prices vary depending on fabrics, trims, and options selected. Prices start at $300.
